About Alainnah
My intention as a therapist and a human is to cultivate a collaborative space that encourages individuals to explore and get curious. Through exploration and curiosity, we begin to build a connection and understanding within ourselves and others, which is the groundwork for so many things.
Humans are each unique individuals who have so many beautifully intricate parts, and each of these parts hold so much importance in who you are as a whole. Pausing to explore the experiences that have led us here today can tell us so much about ourselves and allow us to gain a deeper understanding of cycles that we have been repeating.
My approach in counseling is rooted in Individual Psychology and Somatic-Based Therapy. I also integrate interventions from Transpersonal Psychology, Internal Family Systems, Lifespan Integration, Polyvagal Theory, and Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy. We are all unique individuals in our own beautiful way, therefore, I will offer different interventions, tools, and perspectives to what feels best for each journey. You are the expert in your journey, I am here to provide a non-judgemental, empathetic, and encouraging space. And of course, humor!
When I am not wearing my therapist hat, you can usually find me knitting, on my yoga mat, hiking, backpacking, camping, paddleboarding, hammocking, skiing, rock climbing, reading, baking, or one of my many other hobbies. Or hanging out with my dog, Ferguson, who I am absolutely obsessed with.
